Experiment Health Monitor

Defining UX for a New API

As the lead designer on the Developer Experience team, I conducted exploratory research and worked with PM and Dev to scope the V1 experience. I designed or oversaw the design of all of the new UI surfaces associated with the release of the new Extension API.

Designing New Interactivity Features

Identified gaps in Tableau’s interactivity functionality and, using user interview data, highlighted to our PM team the missed user value add. All of the features suggested were shipped within 18 months following recommendations.

Extending Tableau's Design System

Created a set of UI patterns for the Tableau Data Connector UI surface and added a new multi-select list view component to be used in our connectors.

A New Extension Marketplace

I conducted user research with developers for an extension marketplace, created the design, and scoped the content that ultimately shipped at launch. I also wrote the CSS to ensure that the shipped product was responsive on all screen sizes.
